I have wondered if much of the disgust around s/D is simple jealousy. Most men do not hold sufficient integrity or personal power for any woman to want to submit to them - it would be extremely unsafe because they are unable to protect a sub. So maybe it’s easier to say, women don’t really want to submit, than saying, women want to submit only to honourable powerful men and that doesn’t include me.
